
CHANCES – Climate CHANge related to Catholic Education as Subject in the HIE programmes of education sciences.

The general aim of the Chances Project was to construct a 3-ECTS course on Religion and Catholic Morality aimed at university students from Early Childhood and Primary Education degrees that includes contents on Climate Change (CC) and competencies for Climate Action (CA).
It consists of three modules: 1. Creation and its consequences; 2. The cosmos and the socio-environmental crisis; and 3. Ecological morality.

What did we do?
- A full 3-ECTS course in English, Spanish and Polish, validated by 3 European Universities.
- A methodological guide was with the description of the course and practical advice for teachers.
- The adaptation of an e-portfolio for a competence-based assessment, both Climate Change and Catholic Religion competences.
- User manuals for teachers and students.
- A Short-term join staff training.
- A project pilot at the 3 Universities (UIC, LUMSA and AIK).
- School experiences were carried out in the 3 countries.
- Transnational meetings were held (3 on-line, 1 in Barcelona).
- Multiplier Events in the three countries.
